WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE!
Thanks for dropping by...
If you have the time, please browse away - I am hoping that the site is reasonably self explanatory and that what you see is of interest - but for those of you in a hurry, here's a basic overview of who I am, what I do and how to make contact, if you wish..!
- I am a character actress (stage/screen/audio) with over 30 years' professional experience and a strong background in comedy and physical performance.
- I also do Shakespeare.
- I can read music and have a flute (which I can play).
- If you want to see how I'm currently keeping myself occupied, please head to the News tab.
- Contact details can be found further down this page - please feel free to use them!
- Should your preferred method of contact be by telephone: If you call and I don't pick up, please do leave a message - then I'll know that you're not trying to sell me anything and I'll call you back!
BIOGRAPHY
Pip trained at the Purcell School of Music and then later, with West End Director Martin Landau and the Circus UK training school (dip. Circus & Performing Arts). After touring the country with various children’s theatre companies and a season as Principal Boy in Panto, she ran away to join “Circus Senso” (one of Britain’s first and foremost New Circus companies) for a national tour as an acrobat - during which time she mastered, amongst other things, the art of
fire-eating/breathing!
Since then, Pip has had a diverse career both on stage and screen.
She is an original core cast member of the Sarah Mann Company, Kouyou Theatre and the BAFTA award nominated, satirical sketch team, 'Treason Show'; can be regularly spotted playing a variety of weird and wonderful characters with the award winning '368 Theatre Company'; has made guest appearances with 'Gwent Ballet Theatre' (The Narrator, Nawadaha - "Hiawatha") and with a cappella artistes 'The Frigidaires' (Billy - "Life Could Be A Dream"); and has completed tours and residencies nationally with productions including “Abigail’s Party” (Beverly), “Hamlet” (Gertrude), “The Skin of Our Teeth” (Sabina) and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (Puck) - as well as several more seasons in Panto (where she has migrated from playing the hero to the villain)!
Pip has narrated radio documentaries for the BBC, is an ongoing cast member (and token Brit) of US comedy podcast, 'Hickory Bench Playhouse' and plays leading character Jax/Jack in the audio drama ‘Moira Moments’ (368) which is currently in it’s 2nd season.
She also has a hectic performance schedule as the Russian Colonel 'Anya Bakjobic' for Stunt Action Specialists (live action stunt shows); is a founder member of “Wikwok Children’s Theatre” and has been seen working both as a performance artiste for the Rock band “IF” and as a clown called “Pippolini”!
Pip’s T.V. credits include appearances in "Zombie Apocalypse" (Discovery), “Sixth Sense” (BBC2), "All About Abigail's Party" (BBC3) and “The Greatest Show on Earth” (Channel 4) as well as various adverts, virals and pop promos.
Film work includes the award winning (and record breaking!) "50 Kisses" (LSF), "Brothers of War" (MCN Productions), "Mirror Image" (Phoenix Pictures) & “The Man with 3 Hats” (First Framework) in which she breathes large plumes of fire, en pointe, dressed in a large 'fur' coat and hat! She can also been seen, covered in blood and chasing Robert Carlyle down a riverbank, in Juan Carlos Fresnadillo/Danny Boyle's gore fest,"28 Weeks Later" (Fox Atomic).
Pip is currently developing a new show about Harry Houdini’s wife, (“Bess – The Other Houdini”) which will be touring internationally from 2023; but most recently, she could be found being Ratty on the riverbank, in Kouyou Theatre’s sell out, outdoor production of “The Wind In The Willows”!
